Sooraj Pancholi Denies Link to Disha Salian Case After CBI Registers Fresh FIR
Actor Sooraj Pancholi has strongly rejected claims linking him to the death case of celebrity manager Disha Salian following a new FIR registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The actor clarified that he has never met Salian or politician Aaditya Thackeray, expressing deep frustration over his name being dragged into the ongoing controversy.
The CBI registered a fresh FIR on September 14, 2026, following directives from the Bombay High Court to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding Salian’s June 2020 death. While advocate Nilesh Ojha stated that the FIR includes names such as Sooraj Pancholi, Aaditya Thackeray, Rhea Chakraborty, and Dino Morea, the court clarified that no individual has been formally charged as an accused at this initial investigative stage.
Responding through a detailed social media statement late on September 14, Pancholi described the situation as deeply unfair and upsetting. He emphasized that he has no personal or professional connection to Salian, directly or indirectly. Pancholi noted that he had already been questioned by law enforcement agencies several years ago, during which his statement was fully recorded. He added that he has nothing to hide and remains completely willing to cooperate with the CBI if further clarification is required.

Calling for an unbiased probe, Pancholi supported the CBI’s investigation into Salian’s death while also urging an inquiry into false narratives that harm personal reputations without concrete proof. He appealed to the public and the media to refrain from treating speculative headlines and social media debates as established facts. Expressing trust in the judicial system, Pancholi maintained that a fair investigation will ultimately clear his name and allow the truth to prevail.
