Feryna Wazheir is an actress of Asian origin born and brought up in Britain. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland and brought up in Mumbai family. She did her schooling and college from Glasgow. She did her graduation in Communication and Cultural Studies from Glasgow University. While she was on a holiday in India, she was spotted by a photographer Farookh Chotia. He soon roped in for a shoot for a cosmetic brand – Elle India, L’Officiel and Seventeen.
She worked with top admen like Satyadev Dubey and Alque Padamsee and later got linked to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts often called RADA based in London to start her career in acting. She worked in amateur theatre and entered in the B Town after getting spotted by the Indian photographer Farock Chotia to start working as a model. Her good looks helped her bag a few music videos working with top musicians like A.R. Rehman and Hariharan. However, her debut in B Town started with the film called Sadiyaan in 2010.
She then bagged the role in Ketan Mehta’s film Rang Rasiya with Randeep Hooda. She also bagged the Audience Award at the London Indian Film Festival in 2011 for this film. She played the role of a journalist in the film. Her role was applauded in the media and soon she was made the official Brand Ambassador for the gala event in the UK – London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) 2012. She had a great role in LIFF in 2013. Some of her other movies include Airlift playing Tasneem and Manto playing the role of Nargis in it. She also did a British movie A Secret Heart playing British Jewish girl from World War 2. Her upcoming venture in the B Town is Commando 3 with Vidhyut Jammwal.
