Exciting Box Office Lineup: Jurassic World Rebirth Premieres in Jaipur

The box office performance of Hollywood films has been promising this year, particularly in the second quarter. Trade analysts and moviegoers are eagerly anticipating three major releases over three consecutive weeks. F1: The Movie debuted on June 27, followed by Superman, set to hit theaters on July 11. In between, Jurassic World Rebirth will be released worldwide on July 4. Given the series’ strong following in India since its inception, Universal Studios is planning an extravagant premiere for this dinosaur saga.

Jurassic World Rebirth will premiere at the renowned Raj Mandir Cinema in Jaipur. In a unique twist, the Hindi-dubbed version will be showcased instead of the original English version. This marks a departure from the norm, as Hollywood film premieres in India typically occur at elite multiplexes in Mumbai.

This strategy is not only well-planned but also carries a nostalgic significance. The original film in the series, Jurassic Park (1994), was the first Hollywood film to be dubbed in India. This groundbreaking move attracted a significant audience from B and C centers, who typically shied away from English films. As a result, Jurassic Park became the first blockbuster Hollywood film in India, grossing nearly ₹7.50 crores, a substantial amount for that era. It also paved the way for more dubbed Hollywood films in the Indian market.

Since then, the Jurassic series has consistently succeeded in dubbed formats. To acknowledge the loyal fanbase that has supported the franchise, the Universal team chose to host the premiere in a rural setting.

In celebration of the legacy of the 1994 classic and its original Hindi dub, the event will also honor legendary dubbing director Ashim Samanta, who has overseen the dubbing of this franchise, ensuring nostalgic authenticity for a new generation of fans.

Denzil Dias, VP and Managing Director of Warner Bros. Pictures India, expressed excitement about the event, stating, “We’re thrilled to bring this landmark event to Jaipur. Jurassic World Rebirth in Hindi isn’t just a premiere — it’s a tribute to the legacy of Jurassic Park and a celebration of the evolution of Hindi-dubbed Hollywood films.” The premiere of Jurassic World Rebirth at Raj Mandir is scheduled for Thursday, July 3.
