The popular TV and film producer Ekta Kapoor is very much conscious about the content quality for her TV shows and films. She is known for not compromising on the content quality of her ventures, and same goes with the web series, which she is producing at the moment. The recent example is of her web series called The Family. As she looked at the tapes, she disliked the content quality as it was not satisfactory for her that made her cancel the previous shoots. The crew and cast had already completed their shoot of 13 episodes after giving their six months. Despite incurring a huge loss of 55 crores, she simply rejected the previous shoot to make it fresh and new.
She also removed the director for the show and went on to change the name from The Family to Cartel. She then went on to hire another director called Pukit who had worked with her in the web series called Bose starring Rajkummar Rao. The new show has a similar story dealing with the gangster family, and hence the name has been now changed to the new name Cartel from The Family of the said show. She has roped in actors like Vivek Oberoi for the show and now, she will be shooting for 14 episodes taking more than 195 actors in it. The manager of the venture has informed that Ekta has blocked 60 days dates of the actor and others for the show.
As per the director, the show deals with the life of gangster and his family based in Mumbai and that it involved a huge people in the star cast. The director will shoot for 107 days for the web series. The other star in the web series is Ravi Kishan who will be joining the shoot for the show once he completes his other venture this year. So, when it comes to the quality of the content, Ekta Kapoor has no compromise for the same. The media also covered the first day shoot news for the show, but not many were knowing about the cancellations of the previous episodes being cancelled and now in the pipeline to shoot them again.
