Dream Girl 2: Ayushmann Khurrana Discusses Challenges of Role Transformation from Karam to Pooja, Acknowledges the Complexity of Embracing a Female Persona

Ayushmann Khurrana, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Dream Girl 2, recently opened up about the difficulties he faced in switching roles between Karam and Pooja. Khurrana said that it was challenging to play two completely different characters in the same film. Karam is a small-town boy who is trying to make it big in the world, while Pooja is a sweet and innocent girl who dreams of becoming a voice actress.

Khurrana said that he had to completely change his body language and voice for each role. He also had to learn how to walk and talk like a woman. “It was very difficult to switch between the two characters,” Khurrana said. “I had to completely immerse myself in each role in order to do justice to it.” Khurrana also said that he realized how difficult it is to be a woman. He said that women have to deal with a lot of discrimination and harassment on a daily basis.

“I have a lot of respect for women now,” Khurrana said. “They are truly strong and resilient.” Dream Girl 2 is a sequel to the 2019 film Dream Girl. The film is directed by Raaj Shaandilya and it also stars Nushrat Bharucha and Annu Kapoor. The film is scheduled to be released on August 11, 2023.
