July 26, 2018 will complete 19 long years since the Indian Army fought and won the Kargil War. Since then come this date we celebrate the Kargil  Vijay Diwas. The war that took place around two decades before is still remembered for the army men who gave their life for this along with the victory over the enemy forces. Paying tribute to the war martyrs, the B Town have devoted some films based on this war. How about taking a look at the best movies that showcased the war on the silver screen, have the five one as under:
1). LOC Kargil

The film was directed by JP Dutta, which has an interesting cast like Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Ayyub Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Saif Ali Khan. The film showcased on Operation Vijay, which was based on the story of Indian soldiers at Kargil and happens to be the longest-running movies. As per reports, some real arms and ammunition along with weapons were used in this film. Also, the real Bofors FH-77B artillery was shown in the movie.

2). Lakshya

The Farhan Akhtar movie has an interesting story that finally culminates in Kargil War. It showcased how a lazy boy leading aimless life turns to become a responsible army officer and contributes in winning the war as well. The film has the highest cranes any film of such nature has ever used. It was shot seeking 24ft Giraffe crane made at the 17.796 ft above at the17582 ft Tanglangla Pass in Ladakh, India.
3). Tango Charlie

Another film that showcased the Kargil War talk about the lead actors playing different roles in the said war. The film had actors like Bobby Deol and Ajay Devgn in Tango Charlie in the lead roles that ended up making a certain section of Bodo Militants in the North East that even asked the makers to apologize.

4). Dhoop

The other film that was based on this war was Dhoop that was inspired by Captain Anuj Nayyar who gave his life in this war. The film talks about the struggle against the corruption when the Indian Army has offered compensation in the form of a Petrol Pump franchise, which was finally awarded when PM intervene the issue.
5). Mausam 

MausamThe film is based on a life of Harry played by Shahid Kapoor who is an Air Force officer, and it covered all the major incidences including the Kargil War as well. The film is directed by Pankaj Kapur and its release was delayed due to getting the late NOC.
