Dharmendra Hospitalised with Breathlessness; Condition Stable at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital

Bollywood icon Dharmendra, affectionately known as the ‘OG He-Man,’ was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after experiencing breathlessness, causing immediate concern among fans and the film industry. The 89-year-old veteran actor is currently under observation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), but hospital officials have confirmed that his condition remains stable.
Journalist Vickey Lalwani shared an update on social media after contacting the hospital, reassuring fans with details provided by the medical staff. “Dharmendra came in complaining of breathlessness. He is in the ICU and is currently sleeping. When I asked if there was any cause for worry, the response was no. His condition is stable. His vital signs are normal — heart rate at 70, blood pressure at 140/80, and urine output is good,” he posted.
Initial reports had suggested Dharmendra’s hospital visit was for a routine check-up, but the hospital’s confirmation about admission due to breathing difficulties highlights the seriousness of the situation. Medical experts are closely monitoring the star’s health, and his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, are reportedly by his side offering support.
Despite his advancing age and health concerns, Dharmendra has continued to stay active in the film industry. His most recent appearance was in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, and he is also slated to star in the upcoming war drama Ikkis, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan.
