Tamannaah Bhatia’s Ragini MMS 3 Put on Hold as Director Sahir Raza Exits Due to Scheduling Clash: Report

Tamannaah Bhatia’s much-anticipated association with Ektaa Kapoor’s Ragini MMS 3 had stirred excitement earlier this year among fans of the popular horror franchise. However, the third installment has now reportedly been put on indefinite hold.According to a Variety India report, director Sahir Raza, initially attached to helm Ragini MMS 3, has exited the project due to scheduling conflicts, casting uncertainty over the film’s production timeline.

Reason Behind Sahir Raza’s Exit

The report reveals that Sahir Raza is currently working as a showrunner on a Netflix series, which requires his daily presence on set as per the streaming platform’s recent mandate. This commitment has overlapped with the Ragini MMS 3 schedule, prompting his departure.

A source added, “This development has temporarily stalled Ekta Kapoor’s film, with no clear production timeline. While the makers are actively searching for a new director, the project does not appear to be moving forward soon, posing a major hurdle for the franchise.”No official announcement has been made yet regarding when Tamannaah Bhatia’s horror film will resume shooting.

Tamannaah Bhatia’s Upcoming Projects

Despite the delay with Ragini MMS 3, Tamannaah has a busy year ahead. She will soon be seen in a pivotal role opposite Shahid Kapoor in the action thriller O’ Romeo, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, which is set to release on February 13, 2026.She will also portray Jayashree, the legendary actress and second wife of iconic filmmaker V. Shantaram, in the biopic V. Shantaram, co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi.

At the same time, Tamannaah stars in Vvan alongside Sidharth Malhotra, a film rooted in Hindu mythological folklore set against the forests of central India, slated for release this year.

On another front, she will feature opposite John Abraham in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming biographical action film, playing Preeti Maria, wife of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria.In Tamil cinema, Tamannaah will co-lead Purushan with Vishal in a highly anticipated release.
