The actors starred together in 2007 ‘Om Shanti Om’ but last month Deepika posted a photo of her latest movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’ on Instagram – which is set for release at the same time as Shah’s film ‘Dilwale’ – with the hashtag #ChallengeAccepted and she’s now denied she’s angered the actor or even pitted the movies against each other.
She said: “I find it really amazing that some picture of my film with a certain hashtag… it’s amazing that some connection is found to some completely different film and it is blown out of proportion. I don’t think any of these articles will ever come in my way on my equation with Shah Rukh.”
The Bollywood beauty, 29, says the 49-year-old icon has never had anything but praise and support for her and even “congratulated” her on the new film.
She told Times of India: “What he and I share is known to us and it is very special. Ironically, when you all were reading this article, he was messaging and congratulating me about my foundation. He was one of the first people I spoke to, while I was thinking about it. He has always been encouraging and supportive.”
