Deepika confirms biopic on her father Prakash Padukone is in making!

Deepika Padukone is one of the versatile actresses of Bollywood, and her father, Prakash Padukone, is a world-renowned Indian badminton player. He was also the first Indian to win the All England Badminton Championship in 1980. During Deepika’s recent interaction with Cyrus Broacha on his show, the actress opened up about her father. She confirmed working on the biopic of him.

In the interview, The Om Shanti Om actress said, “Even before 83 happened, he was one of the first Indian athletes to put India on the global map as far as Indian sport is concerned,” she added. Furthermore, the actress revealed that her father used to train with limited resources. Deepika asserted, “He trained in a marriage hall, that was his badminton court. He used things like the beams that go across to make his shot more precise”. She also emphasized that her father would have been far more superior if he had good facilities during his time. The announcement by Deepika has certainly made the fans excited.

Meanwhile, The Gehraiyaan actress will be seen in the Hindi remake of the Hollywood classic ‘The Intern’ with Amitabh Bachchan. The actress had recently revealed that she will begin working on Hrithik starrer soon and that the much talked about The Intern will hit the floors by this year or early 2023.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone and her Gehraiyaan team received much appreciation for the Gehraiyaan. Directed by Shakun Batra also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa in the lead roles.
