Last week, we had two releases, but Dear Zindagi was undoubtedly the bigger one consider the high star value in it in the form of Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt. The film not only earned big on the first day but it continued to beat the demonetization move of the government giving a decent collection in the first weekend. That’s not all; we saw the similar trend at the end of the first week as well for the film.
As per reports, the first week box office collection for Dear Zindagi tolled to around 47 crores. The weekdays collection though went down with less than 50 percent of the collection going down yet it remained decent at the end of the week. The total collection from Monday to Thursday tolled to around 14.5 crores, while the overseas collection too went on a good note giving a really good figure at the box office.
Despite some odds the film managed to be a successful affair owing to the economics involved though it went down at the later part of the week, which only would indicate that it has a good week run. As far as Kahaani 2 is concerned, it seems to be impressive over the occupancy report and would certainly affect the collection of Gauri Shinde film to some extent, while the other release in the form of Saamsein the last breath barely had any impact over the box office.
