Comedian-actor Raju Srivastava passes away after battling with life
After battling with life comedian-actor Raju Srivastava said his last goodbye to the world. On August 10, Raju Srivastava was hospitalised at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after suffering a heart attack while jogging. He had been on life support since then. Maqbool, Raju Srivastava’s manager, informed News18 that the comedian was in critical condition on Wednesday night after his brain nerves were discovered to be inflamed. However, medics were able to stabilise him. He also denied that Raju Srivastava was “nearly” brain dead.

Earlier, Raju Srivastava’s chief advisor Ajit Saxena told Aaj Tak that physicians treating the 58-year-old stand-up comic stated his brain is “nearly in dead condition.”
Raju Srivastava rose to prominence in 2005 as the host of the show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. The comedian-actor rose to prominence with his sharp one-liners and astute observational humour.
In addition to Maine Pyar Kiya, Bombay To Goa (remake), and Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya, the stand-up comic appeared in many films. He also appeared on Bigg Boss Season 3. Gajodhar bhaiya, played by Raju Srivastava, became a household name. The stand-up comic was also known for his unique dialogue delivery style, which had everyone in stitches.
