Chhichhore

In today’s competitive life, stress and anxiety have become the norm of the day and students are no exception. Thus kids at a very young age are forced to live with their parents’ dream and they ensure they do the best. The ones who fail to do take resort in suicide attempts. This bleak reality is the central theme of the film. The film takes this narrative at the backdrop to make the film takes back to the memory lane in the college days. You can enjoy some funny moments in the college hostel life that makes things easy for the audience and enjoy the light pranks and perfect comic timing of the actors.

However, the screenplay soon becomes predictable as it somewhere resembles to “ 3 Idiots” hangover. The runtime of the film seemed a bit longer though as we can see the pace going slow in the second half. Nonetheless, the film scores on the story and other things backed with some robust performances by the lead actors along with others. Shraddha Kapoor has simply nailed it with her tangible performance both in her young and old versions. Similarly, Sushant Singh Rajput shinning more in the younger version than the older one.

The man that steals the show in humor is once again Varun Sharma. The Fukrey once again has proved that his comic timing is not just perfect but far away from our imaginations. Tahir Raj Bhasin is also impressive in his intense role. Similar is the story of others found in the film. The film has scored well on other parts as well including, story, content, photography, music, nice songs, editing, and other technical elements. All these factors have helped the film to gain good on the entertainment value.

Chhichhore – The Last Word

The film has a relevant message to showcase. The modern-day parents live with inherent attitude when it comes to academic success and failure in the life of young students. This makes the film worth watching this weekend.
