Come this Friday and we have two big films releasing, which certainly include the Deepika Padukone starrer film Chhappak. The film happens to be a biopic that is inspired by the real-time character of Laxmi Agarwal, which is played by the leggy lass. Interestingly, this film happens to be the maiden production venture of the actress, which boosts up the buzz of the film in a big way.
As per reports, the trailer has created a decent buzz in the media and the high star value with the presence of Deepika Padukone will help the film in some way or the other. However, on the core of it, the film happens to deal with a niche topic – the story of an acid attack survivor. It can be inspiring well made with the direction of talented director – Meghna Gulzar but it may not attract the audience in a big way. Thus giving a meager collection when compared to the other film releasing on the same day.
In a sense, Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior will pose some amount of competition before Chhappak, which would, therefore, hamper the collection in some way or the other. As per reports, the 1st-day box office collection for Chhappak would be not less than 6 to 8 crores. The film is likely to boost up the collection during the first weekend, which will gain the collection of the movie.
