Checkout the first look poster of Jayalalithaa’s biopic

Much awaited, the first look poster of the upcoming web series based on the commendable journey of the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is out. Directed by Gautham Menon, the upcoming web series is titled Queen and Ramya Krishnan will be playing the Jayalalithaa’s epic role in this biopic.

The first look poster depicts the capture of Ramya Krishnan as Jayalalitha, wearing a white saree, holding a black and red border.

The web series is soon going to be streaming on the OTT platform MX Player. It has been additionally informed that the first season of the series will be streaming 11 brand new episodes for the show. The series has been co-directed by Prasath Murugesan, the well known Kidari fame and written by Gautham Menon’s in partnership with Reshma Ghatala.

Besides the real life storyline, it has been known that the series will also take a trail through the fictional take of this veteran leader’s character play, as well.

Interestingly, Prasath Murugesan has been responsible for handling the childhood portions of the series, while Gautham has taken in hand the direction of the Ramya Krishnan’s portion.

Besides, Queen Web series, Gautham Menon has two more films in his bag – Enai Noki Paayum Thota and Dhruva Natchathiram – that are waiting for release. Dhanush is playing the lead role in the former that was set to hit the screens on September 6, after so much delay. But, without any further delay, it was supposed to be released the same day but, got affected due to a last-minute postponement due to a court order obtained by the production house Arka Media Works, who are also the makers of the Baahubali series. It has been learnt by the sources that all this happened because of a case that was filed against SN Rajarajan of K Productions, who had distributed the Tamil version of the movies in Tamil Nadu and was supposed to distribute Enai Noki Paayum Thota as well.
