Priyanka Chopra, who is currently on a promotional spree for her film The Sky Is Pink, paid a visit to Kapil Sharma on the sets of his comedy show. Apart from the ongoing fun and laughter, it seemed that PeeCee turned tables for the host being a host herself in a spot. Priyanka’s The Sky Is Pink premiered at the recent Toronto International Film Festival, and received positive reviews. Directed by Shonali Bose, the film features Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in lead roles apart from Priyanka. The film is based on the life of a motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, who was born with an immune deficiency disorder and later diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, a condition that causes hardening of the lungs.

In the film, while Zaira plays the role of Aisha, Priyanka and Farhan will be playing the role of her parents Aditi and Niren, affectionately called “Moose and Panda”. The Sky Is Pink will be showing how Aisha’s illness strains the relationship between her parents.

In a recent behind-the-scenes video that was shared by Priyanka, director Shonali Bose explained how the parents are stark opposites but, still have a sense of togetherness and chemistry.

Talking about the challengs in fulfilling the roles were, she said, “Aditi and Niren, in this film, go from 25-26 to about 50-52, and that’s a tremendous challenge for actors. But luckily for me and the film, we had such amazing actors that in terms of their performance, it was just not an issue. Through all the ups and downs in their lives, this couple stuck together. They found humour, they found romance in all kinds of situations. So I really find it an epic love story. I think an ordinary couple being extraordinary is epic for me.”

The Sky Is Pink will hit the screens on October 11.
