Chandan Roy Sanyal is a known name in Bollywood though not wildly known yet can be counted among the decent actors of B Town. He comes from Bengali family from New Delhi, wherein he was born and brought up. He went to Zakir Hussain College to do his BSc honours in Mathematics from Delhi University. He was born on 30th January 1980 and known to have done Hindi and Bengali films. Though his career in acting was not decided earlier but later after his studies, he thought of doing something different, which brought him to Bombay the city of dreams to pursue her career in B Town. In fact, it all started with joining theatres in New Delhi, which marked the beginning of his acting career.
With a brief struggle and background of theatres, he did his debut with Aamir Khan starrer film Rang De Basanti with a small role in it in the year 2006. He then got a short film the very next year called Viva Sunita. However, he started getting his recognition with the Shahid Kapoor film called Kaminey in 2009, wherein he was even nominated for the category of breakthrough performance in the film at Stardust Award. His debut Bengali film include [email protected] Some of his popular movies in Bollywood include F.A.L.T.U, Tell Me O Kkhuda, Love You To Death, and Staying Alive.
Some of his recent movies include D-Day, Prague, Kaanchi, etc. His upcoming movie is Jazbaa starring Irrfan Khan and Aishwarya Rai wherein he has a negative role in it. His other upcoming movie is Mango, which is in post production phase. His Bengali films include Ganesh Talkies and Aparajita Tumi apart from the debut one. Besides, he also has endorsed a couple of brands, which include certain automobile companies and others.
