Chakda Xpress: Anushka Sharma to fly to UK for her next schedule

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is all set to get back on screen after a long break of almost 3.5 years. The actress will be making her comeback with Jhulan Goswami’s biopic Chakda Xpress. Well, the actress has already started shooting for the film, recently Anushka completed her Mumbai schedule and now she is all set to travel UK for the next schedule.

Talking about her upcoming film, Anushka said, “A film of this scale needed tremendous prep in all departments. It is a delightful script that intends to make strong statements.”

She further said, “It is a fact that women have to go that extra mile to earn their place in this patriarchal world. Jhulan Goswami’s life is testimony to the fact that she carved her own destiny, and fought for every inch of the spotlight and recognition. I hope that I can do justice to the script.”

“It feels like my first film again. Unfortunately, the pandemic kept me from returning to the movies, even though I was itching to start filming,” she concluded.

Meanwhile, on-screen Jhulan Goswami and real-life Jhulan Goswami appear to be getting along swimmingly. Goswami recently became the women’s world cup’s joint-highest wicket-taker. She and Australia’s Lyn Fullston now share the record for most Women’s Cricket World Cup wickets.

Directed by Prosit Roy, the film will be released on an OTT platform, Netflix in 2023.
