ZEE5 Unveils Another Web Series Based on Anmol Rana’s ‘Those 7 Days’(Wo Saat Din)
The video streaming giant platform ZEE5 is once again getting experimental with one of the most liked works of Bollywood. Returning to an adaptation for creating an original web series, they are all set to work on an upcoming show based on the author Anmol Rana’s ‘Those 7 Days’. This will be an addition to other entries in this league including- The Final Call (adapted from Priya Kumar’s I will Go With You- The Flight of a Lifetime), Parchhayee – Ghost stories by Ruskin Bond and Skyfire (adapted from Aroon Raman’s book by the same name).
Titled as ‘Love Sleep Repeat’, this seven-episode comedy-drama series is being directed by Abhishek Dogra and produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms. The web series will be starring Raima Sen and Anshuman Malhotra as the story revolves around the life of Vishwas, a naive, small-town boy who lives a sheltered life before he gets an opportunity to move to a metro city for a job, eventually. Thereon, the author takes the audiences into a narrative roller- coaster ride power packed with fun, laughter, and thrill.
Author Anmol Rana on this upcoming work shared his thoughts, saying, “Those 7 Days is a delight to read. It’s not just a story. It’s you, me, that boy and that girl next door who make our life special. And very soon they will make a special place in your heart when you will watch them going live on ZEE5.”
Raima Sen is also pretty happy in being a part of this commendable show as she commented, “I love reading and the fact that I have featured in two book adaptations done by ZEE5 (including this one) is a lovely coincidence. Those 7 Days is a beautiful book by Anmol Rana and I hope I do justice to my character written by him, onscreen. We are currently shooting Love Sleep Repeat and cannot wait for the premiere on ZEE5.”
Director Anshuman Malhotra, known for directing Dolly Ki Doli will also be working on his second project with ZEE5 after his well versed work in The Final Call, mentioned, “Love Sleep Repeat is a light-hearted, breezy story. We have been shooting the series since early this month and the process has been fun! It is packed with situational humour and romance, which makes it the perfect binge-watch content on ZEE5.”
Director Abhishek Dogra couldn’t keep away from commenting on the same, “The rise of web shows & OTT platforms have made book adaptations popular. The Indian literary scene provides a treasure-trove of great story ideas. Anmol Rana’s Those 7 Days is a beautifully written love saga and I am hopeful that with ZEE5’s reach, it will connect with audience across the globe.”
Producer Rashmi Sharma is also expecting a good response from the show as he said, “Love Sleep Repeat is most special to me because it is my first venture into the digital space. The book Those 7 Days had me hooked and I immediately wanted to make a series out of it. I hope we have managed to do justice to all the characters and I hope the audience like it. We have had a great time working with ZEE5.”
