Catch The Tashkent Files Trailer dealing with Lal Bahadur Shastri’s Death Investigation

Vivek Agnihotri, the B Town director is back with yet another movie and this time it is -The Tashkent Files. The makers have released the trailer yesterday, which is a film that investigates the death of Lal Bahadur Shastri’s death. Talking about the film, he summed up by stating that this film is a fictional representation the enquiry committee and it’s functioning, which has dealt with the cause of death of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.

As we know, Lal Bahadur Shastri was the second Prime Minister after the independence of India, and he passed away under mysterious circumstances in the year 1966 in Tashkent (it is now in Uzbekistan). His death was seen just after a day after signing the Tashkent Agreement that brought the end of Indo-Pakistan war of 1965. The film has an interesting star cast having Mithun Chakraborty, Naseruddin Shah, Pallavi Joshi, Shweta Basu Prasad, Pankaj Tripathi, Mandira Bedi and Rajesh Sharma, to name a few.

The makers have released the trailer which starts with Shweta Basu Prasad getting a pen drive that carries some classified information related to the mysterious death of late Lal Bahadur Shastri. As she starts her investigation she soon feels that Mr Lal Bhadur Shastri’s death is one biggest political coverup in India. It was initially learnt that the late PM of India passed away with the heart attack but at the same time it was debated that he knew where did Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose has gone and his whereabouts.

The film Tashkent Files happens to be directed and written by the talented filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who has given several films to the B Town including Hate Story, Chocolate, and Buddha In A Traffic Jam on his resume. Now, he has another film coming The Tashkent Files, which is all set to hit the screens on 12th April 2019 which is just before the PM Modi biopic film. Time to catch the trailer of the film The Tashkent Files, which has the catch line – who killed Shashtri.
