Shetty is the go-to guy for physics-defying stunts in Bollywood films, from the Golmaal trilogy to his most recent offering, Sooryavanshi. Apart from all of his earlier successes, Singham, his 2011 film, made a lasting impression on us.

Yup! You read that right. You did, however, read that correctly. Singham, directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Ajay Devgn and Kajal Aggarwal, was shot in under three months. The filmmaker was frank about his path in Bollywood during a conversation with The Bombay Journey in 2021. During the same conversation, Rohit revealed that he fell in love with the cop character in the Tamil film Singham, starring South superstar Suriya.
The filmmaker went on to say that he was preoccupied with his other projects at the time (Bol Bachchan and Chennai Express), but he really wanted to recreate the film. Rohit went on to tell how he told Ajay about the cop movie he intended to remake and how the actor believed in it. Shetty went on to detail how he began working on the script in March and how quickly he and his crew completed the picture in time for a June-July release.
More specifically, Rohit Shetty stated that he and his team began filming for the film on March 4th without Ajay Devgn, as the Shivaay actor joined them later on March 6th, fully prepared for his cop part. Finally, the filmmaker stated that he and his entire team worked really hard and completed the film in four months, two weeks, and three days.
