Of late, B Town has turned mature when it comes to handling taboo issues. The same-sex love stories have never been a norm in B Town, but since a year, we see such films coming. First, it was Sonam Kapoor film – Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga and then the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer film – Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan and now we hear yet another film of the similar theme called Sheer Qorma starring Swara Bhaskar and Divya Dutta in the lead roles.
The two ladies play love couples who are into a lesbian relationship. The film is all about their love and the issues they face in their life while pursuing their relationship forward. The film also has Shabana Azmi who plays the mother’s role od Divya Dutt, while a large part of the film deals with convincing the mother about their relationship. The trailer depicts some incredible performances by the actresses – Divya and Swara who claim that their love is no sin.
Both Divya and Swara Bhaskar play the characters called Saira and Sitara who seemed to non-binary people. The makers have released the trailer that talks about their love story, while they are yet to announce the release date as they are planning to send their film to different film festivals and thus expecting applauds for the same. While Both Swara and Divya called the film to be interesting and taking up the roles to be challenging, which they have played so well.
