Things are really gearing up for the movie Masaan as we can find it’s second trailer hitting the social media world. The movie has Richa Chadda and Vicky Kaushal in the pivotal roles, while it is produced under the Phantom Films and directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. The others in the film include Sanjay Mishra, Shweta Tripathi, Vicky Kaushal. The movie is fortunate enough to bag the FIPRESCI prize along with the other award called Promising Future Award in the category of Un Certain Regard at Cannes 2015. This speaks volumes about the film and its content. The film is all about four guys whose life intersect along the Ganges.
These include a boy from a lower caste, a young woman living in a guilt of having physical relationship that has ended up in tragedy, a spirited kid yearning for a loving family and a hapless father living on the edge of losing morality. The movie is about these four people following their dreams and their struggles to come out of the moral constructs of small town. Masaan is set against the sacred landscape of Banaras, the film is touted to be a celebration of all the things seen between cradle to grave.
