Aamir Denies Adopting Any Drought Affected Village in Maharashtra

Recently the state of Maharashtra has been in news for being hit hard by drought. The western Maharashtra and many places of Marathwada are badly affected with four trains carrying lakh liters of water to these area were making news. This very juncture, the B Town actor Aamir Khan came forward to lent his support to these areas. And it was also reported that the PK actor would adopt two severely affected villages like Koregaon and Tal in the Satara district, but Aamir was quick to react on this news when asked about the adoption news.

As per the actor, he is working closely with his NGO called Paani Foundation in order to render the relief to not less than 120 villages that are badly hit by the drought. How the rumors started spreading about the actor adopting the villages remains unidentified. Just few days, Akshay Kumar was seen donating 50 lakh to the campaign called Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyaan, which has been commenced by the state of Maharashtra. Also, Nana Patekar from the same industry has come forward to lent his support by distributing cheques to the widows of the farmers who have committed suicide in the recent past and is trying to mobilize good amount of support to send some respite in the area.
