Kaun Banega Crorepati 13: Amitabh Bachchan recalls his accident from the sets of Coolie, reveals why his pulse is not detectable!

Mr. Bachchan went through a serious accident about 40 years ago on the sets of his film Coolie in Bangalore.

During a fight sequence with Puneet Issar, Amitji got injured. The superstar suffered serious internal injuries as a result of the mishap. For a few minutes, he was also deemed clinically dead.

The megastar discussed the incident on a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13. Additi Gupta, who plays Dr Deepika in the Sony TV programme Dhadkan, opened the episode by asking Big B to let her check his pulse. Additi becomes perplexed when checking since she is unable to find his pulse. She says, “Aap Ki pulse kyu nahi aarahi hai (Why can’t I feel your pulse)?” Replying to this, Amitabh Bachchan reveals that he doesn’t have a pulse.

The actor said that he was hospitalised after an accident on the sets of Coolie in 1982. Amitabh underwent many operations throughout his treatment, and the doctors had to cut his wrist near where the pulse is checked every half hour to drain blood. His pulse is not detectable as a result of this.
