Prashanth Neel Opts for Reshooting Salaar Climax, Causing Further Delay in Prabhas’ Film

Just 30 days before its release, Prashanth Neel and Hombale Films announced that their action-packed thriller, Salaar, starring Prabhas, will not be released on September 28 due to VFX issues. The announcement sent shock waves in the industry as the release was delayed after the commencement of advance bookings in some territories.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the VFX work on Salaar is taking longer than expected due to the film’s scale and complexity. The film features several high-octane action sequences and VFX-heavy scenes, which are taking time to complete to the desired quality. The makers of Salaar have apologized to fans for the inconvenience caused by the postponement. They have assured fans that the film will release soon once the VFX work is completed.

According to sources close to the development, the makers of Salaar, starring Prabhas, have silently reunited to reshoot some portions of the film, including high points of the film’s climax. The sources revealed that the idea is to better the product for the biggest cinematic experience. Director Prashanth Neel wants to outdo his previous work, and when he watched the film in one go recently, he felt there was still a lot of scope for improvement.

Neel is known for his perfectionism, and he got support from his producers, who took the risk of delaying the film and increasing the budget to creatively satisfy the director. The reshoots are currently underway in Hyderabad, and the makers are aiming to release the film in early 2024. Fans are excited to see what the makers have in store for them with Salaar, and they are eager to witness Prabhas in a new action-packed avatar.

Also, we know that VFX is another reason for the delay in Salaar. The source revealed that approximately 600 VFX shots are yet to be received by the team, which is contributing to the delay. This is not uncommon in today’s filmmaking landscape, as VFX-heavy films often require more time in post-production to complete all of the visual effects. However, it is understandable why fans are disappointed, as they have been eagerly awaiting the release of Salaar for some time now.
