JugJugg Jeeyo experienced a good increase in sales on Saturday as 12.55 crores more came in, as was predicted. It was only a matter of time before the movie achieved a double-digit score, and while it was quite close on Friday, things started to improve from Saturday afternoon on with larger collections.
Naturally, the markets in the North serve as the film’s main driving force because that is where this Dharma Productions production truly shines. The movie has begun to gather popularity in other regions of the nation as well, though. The good news is that foot traffic is present, and having something like that go in your favour is much preferable to not taking an opening at all or being slow low in the 3–4 crore range on Friday. Even if there is momentum on the rest of the weekend, you know that there will be a roadblock from Monday onward.
JugJugg Jeeyo starring Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and Neetu Kapoor is expected to have a good increase in sales today that would easily push it above the 35 crore threshold.
The difference between 35 and 40 crores would need to be bridged very rapidly, therefore it would be interesting to see how much closer this Raj Mehta film gets by Sunday night. JugJugg Jeeyo has earned 21.83 crores at the box office so far, and with strong support from families over the weekend, it’s going to be all hands on deck for the multi-starrer.
