The Kamal Haasan starrer film Uttama Villain a Tamil movie had a good opening. Apart from the Tamil, the movie was also dubbed in Telugu, which was able to attract good amount of Telugu crowd towards the theatre. Uttama Villain was released in around 250 screens all over the states – Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

As per reports, the movie starring Raghava Lawarence and Tapsi was released in around 550 screen sin both the states (Andhra & Telangana). The movie witnessed a good pre release buzz, thanks to a good amount of booking, which were carried out by the audience made a hit in comparison to the Kamal Haasan starrer film Uttama Villain.

The trade pundits are expecting to see a good collection from this film, which the other Tamil movie would fail to prosper over the box office. As per reports, the first day and other days in the weekend too even witnessed a occupancy report up to 80 to 90 percent. These include both the multiplexes and the single screens. The first day collection was around 2 crores, which increased in the coming first weekend for the film.
