After getting a whopping 52 crores over the first weekend, the Akshay Kumar starrer film Brothers was able to secure another 20 crores during the rest of the days in its first week. Now, with this figure, the first week box office collection for Brothers tolled to around 72.60 crores, which is actually a good figure. However, more collection is expected from the movie thanks to the presence of action packed drama in the film, which keeps the show going on for a longer haul. Yet, this is among the second biggest week collection after the Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan slighty ahead than ABCD 2 and even the first hundred crore club of 2015 – Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
Akshay Kumar has been a great year this year with three movies already doing better business and the fourth one is all set to release soon. He has been consistent on his performance over the box office with decent collection reaching to eighties for most of the movies. With two movies releasing this Friday, including All is Well and Manjhi- The Mountain man, the collection for Brothers is more likely to be witnessed soon. Also, Siddharth’s performance in the film has impressed the audience and critics, which together has played an important role in getting a decent collection at the end of the first week for Brothers.
