‘Boycott Pathaan’ trends again as SRK’s old video talking about ‘What he did for India’ goes viral

The Boycott Pathaan trend is getting stronger as it is once again trending on Twitter due to a video clip of SRK from an old interview. Shah Rukh Khan, who recently made a cameo appearance in Laal Singh Chaddha, is in grave trouble as his movie is becoming the next target of the boycott.

The trend, which would have been suppressed by now, became even stronger as an old video of the actor surfaced on the internet. It is an interview clip where a journalist questions Shah Rukh about what he did for the country. SRK counter-questions the journalist, saying, “AAP Batao Mai Pakistan Kab Gaya?” Then, replying to the journalist’s question, he said that he couldn’t talk about his charities publicly as a practising Muslim.

When asked about his opinion on intolerance in the country, the actor said, ” I mean just for the symbolic gesture, YES it is. There is too much intolerance and I think it’s continuously growing.”

Here is the old video of Shah Rukh Khan that went viral on the internet:

Following the viral video, it is expected to face trolls and boycotts from netizens. A group of Twitter users seemed unhappy with his comments in the video and bashed him on social media. The Boycott Pathaan trend quickly took over Twitter and people started venting out their anger on SRK.

An angry user tweeted, ” If India is an intolerant country, WHY #ShahRukhKhan you are still living here? #BoycottPathaanMovie.” “After the success of # BoycottLalSinghChadha, now it’s time to teach SRK a lesson by # BoycottPathanMovie,” another user wrote.

Meanwhile, SRK fans came out in support of SRK by trending ‘India Awaits Pathaan’. This can be a sigh of relief for the actor. But, looking at the fate that LaalSinghChaddha and Rakshabandhan met can be a serious concern.

For those who are unaware, Shah Rukh is making his comeback on screen after a long time with Pathaan. The movie stars John Abrahan and Deepika as well, and SRK will play a spy.
