The satire comedy film Welcome To Karachi, which is likely to hit a day before the usual Friday making it a solo release. The film starring Arshad Warsi and Jacky Bhagnani in the lead roles is expected to get a good response on its release. The film has already garnered a good buzz in the media with its trailer release and posters released earlier. The film is directed by Ashish R. Mohan the Akshay Kumar starrer Khiladi 786.
The movie revolves around the life of two friends who have love for adventure eventually bring them across the border to a city called Karachi. They then end up getting trapped in a Taliban’s gang. Thus follows the story of comedy and humor, all thanks to Arshad Warsi who sends out light moments along with talking about the complicated Indo-Pak politics.
Considering its connection with Karachi, Pakistan, the film has remained in the controversy, which has furthered garnered a good buzz for the film in the media. Also, people at the other side (in Pakistan) made an issue over using the name of its important city in a comedy film. So, with positive buzz for the film, Welcome To Karachi is expected to do better over the box office. The film is expected to do better with a collection of around 5 to 7 crores on its first day, which will increase during the weekends.
