Bombay Velvet get U/A Certification from CBFC

Bombay velvet gets ua certification

The movie Bombay Velvet is all set to hit the theatres the next week. Every passing day, the movie seems to make another headline. The Anurag Kashyap’s movie has finally being allotted the U/A certificate from the Cental Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The movie is a period drama and had a couple of cuss words and scenes carrying them in the film. The reviewing committee after reviewing the film has ordered to get rid of three scenes and few cush words like son of bitch and haramzada.

Though the filmamker and his team were not ready to accept the U/A certifcation, however, considering a steamy liplock scene and use of harsh language and abusing words made the film with this restriction. The team was’nt really happy to get this certification since it will restrict the film into certain audience rather than opening for all. The filmamkers are apprehenvise to lose revenue for this high budget 100 crore film.

Anurag Kashyap was seen deleting three different scenes along with leaving the sizzling kissing scene of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma over the editing table. However, as per the board, such scenes are the part of lovemaking sequences, which comprises good amount of boldness in it. The Board simply called the scene to be very much bold for the universal audience. By carrying out these cuts, the team of Bombay Velvet finally went relieved as their title too was under scanner but it managed to come out without any hurdle.
