Bombay Begums Ready to Stream on Netflix on the eve of International Women’s Day
It’s confirmed, the most anticipated web series on Netflix – Bombay Begums will stream on 8th March 2021. The day celebrated as the International Women’s Day remains the apt juncture to release a women centric series feel the makers of BB. The series is known for its ensemble star cast with actors and filmmakers like Pooja Bhatt playing the leading role in it. While others include Shahana Goswami, Plabita Borthakur, Amruta Subhash, Aadhya Anand, Rahul Bose, Vivek Gomber, Danish Husain, and Nauheed Cyrusi. The list is long!
The day the series was announced by its makers, it has been making a good buzz around social media. The fans had all eyes on its release date and makers have finally made their call about the release date. It was the director – Alankrita Shrivastava who confirmed the release date with her following tweet:
Bombay Begum is a series with stories of five women based in Bombay. It is a saga of their daily chores and their dreams – sometimes full filled and sometimes buried, claimed the filmmaker in her recent statement. Adding details to it, she said that it has a story of Indian women and she feels that it has the power to connect not only the Indian women but across the globe. It is a complex journey of working ladies in Metro cities like Mumbai and their daily hustle claimed the filmmaker. It is produced under the banners – Endemol Shine India, Endeavor Content and Chernin Entertainment.
