Ranbir Kapoor’s Film ‘Animal’ Secures 1100 Tickets Sales in the USA

Ranbir Kapoor, renowned for his charming portrayals in youthful films, has captivated audiences with his transformative embodiment of a dark character in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’. The pre-teaser and teaser have sparked immense anticipation for the film’s release on December 1 in India. ETimes broke the exclusive news that the film will grace screens in the United States on November 30, poised to secure the widest release for a Hindi film in America, with a staggering 888 screens. This figure far surpasses recent blockbusters like Pathaan, Jawan, Jailer, Tiger 3, and even Ranbir’s own Brahmastra, which premiered on 810 screens.

With just two weeks remaining until the film’s release, advance booking for Animal has commenced, and the initial numbers are promising. Advance booking has opened in 172 locations across the United States, encompassing over 340 screenings and approximately 1092 tickets sold thus far, generating revenue of around $19,200 (Rs 16 lakhs). In a further display of enthusiasm, Ranbir Kapoor was spotted promoting the film at the India vs. New Zealand semi-final match of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup on Wednesday.

Recently, conflicting information regarding the runtime of the film ‘Animal’ has emerged. One ticket booking app listed the duration as 3 hours and 18 minutes, while IMDB indicated a shorter length of 2 hours and 26 minutes. Despite these discrepancies, the filmmakers have yet to provide an official clarification on the matter.

In addition to Ranbir Kapoor, ‘Animal’ also features a stellar cast comprising Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri. Initially scheduled for release on August 11, the film was postponed to December 1 due to extensive post-production work. This places it in direct competition with Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film, Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Sam Bahadur’. This historical drama chronicles the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, and his pivotal role in the liberation of Bangladesh.
