Akshay Kumar’s former co-stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan to play female lead in his upcoming aerial action thriller ‘Sky Force’?

Akshay Kumar has recently begun filming on his forthcoming and first aerial thriller film, ‘Sky Force,’ directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur and produced by Maddock Films.

According to latest media reports, the female cast for the film has also been selected. According to the source, Akshay’s former co-stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan have been cast as the film’s female leads.

According to Peepingmoon, both actresses will play minor but important roles in the film, which will begin filming next month.  This is both female stars’ second project with Akshay. This action-packed thriller will be shot on a gigantic scale at multiple air bases in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Assam over a four months period.  The film is based on a true story and celebrates one of the Indian Air Force’s biggest victories in the 1960s and 1970s, with Akshay playing an Air Force commander.

Meanwhile, Sara will be seen next in the romantic comedy ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,’ in which she plays the female protagonist opposite Vicky Kaushal. Laxman Utekar directs the film, which is produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Nimrat Kaur, on the other hand, will be next seen in ‘social drama ‘Happy Teachers Day’. Helmed by Mikhil Musale, the film is also produced by Maddock Films.

Akshay Kumar has been going through a dull period since last year after back to back box office failures.  Akshay was most recently seen in the action comedy ‘Selfiee,’ which was a box office flop, grossing only Rs. 23 crore globally and hence there is lot riding on the upcoming aerial thriller ‘Sky Force’.
