Alia Bhatt Did Justice to Pay Gap Disparity, Charges Whooping 20 Crores For Gangubai Kathiawadi

Alia Bhatt seems like changing the equation of about much talked about pay gap disparity between male and female artists. You might be astonished to know that Alia Bhatt has charged a whopping 20 crores for Gangubai Kathiawadi while Ajay Devgan who is playing the role of Karim Lala in the film has charged 11 crores for the cameo. Although Alia Bhatt as the report is concerned charges around Rs 22 crore per film. 

Earlier too Alia was paid Rs 10 crores for Raazi as compared to Vicky Kaushal who charges around 3-4 crore per film. Even for Sadak 2 Alia bag greater compensation compared to co-star Aditya Roy Kapoor. Besides Alia Bhatt, Kananga Ranaut charged more than his co-actor Raj Kumar Rao in the film Judgemental Hai Kya. Kangana was paid more than her Rangoon co-stars Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. 

Even Kareena Kapoor said to charge the most amongst all-stars in the movie including Sumeet Vyas who allegedly got Rs 80 lakh as opposed to Kareena Kapoor‘s 7 crores. Kareena Kapoor also charged more than co-star and producer Arjun Kapoor who charges 5-7 crores for a film. Shraddha Kapoor another stalwart of the industry was paid Rs 7 crore for Stree as opposed to Raj Kumar’s Rs 6 crore. She is also believed to have bagged more fees in Chichhore than Sushant Singh Rajput who charges Rs 5-7 crore for a film.

Not many might not be aware of the fact that even in Hollywood there is a huge income disparity between female and male artists, but way back in 1999 in the film, Notting Hill Julia Roberts was paid more than Hugh Grants.
