Of late, the film Jhundd has been making headlines for many reasons. Right from raising an important work in Nagpur in the name of an NGO called Slum Soccer with megastar Amitabh Bachchan playing the character of the man who has been involved in this initiative. However, the film seems to be in legal trouble as one of the directors based in Hyderabad called Nandi Chinni Kumar has issued a notice to the makers of the film.
The legal notices to the makers of the film Jhund seem to be adding up the lead role in the movie for copyright infringement. Kumar who happens to be an independent filmmaker was seen sending out notices to Nagraj Manjule who is the Jhund director and prouder along with the other producer Bhushan Kumar who is also involved in this film, Big B and the founder of Slum Soccer Vijay Barse.
In his notice, Kumar has claimed that the makers have cheated by taking up this story as he had plans to make a similar movie in the coming future. He has also claimed that he would knock the doors of the Court and appeal to cancel the screening of the film in theatres and other possible platforms. He is a short film director and has even bought the rights in 2017 for making a film on the life of Akhilesh Paul who is a football player from slum soccer group. He is has represented the Homeless World Cup as captain. He intended to make the film slum soccer in different languages addressing the issue of drug addiction dealt with sports.
