One may find the megastar Amitabh Bachchan to be fit and healthy but as per the latest buzz on his health, he has been suffering from TB since the past eight years. Yes, you heard it right, the megastar has been suffering from the ailment called tuberculosis and never minds people calling himself to be a TB survivor. He was at the launch function of Swasth India Progam initiated by NDTV where he was asked about his regular check-ups to carry out a quick diagnosis and then treatment.
While sharing about his health conditions, he said that he keeps on telling people about getting the medical checkups on time and similar things. He then said that this has helped him to survive ailments like tuberculosis along with the ailment Hepatitis B. Talking about the same, he said he got the bad blood infusion in his body that left his 75% of the liver in a bad shape. He said he was able to find out after 20 years when 75% of his liver was gone.
He then said he is now able to survive with 25% of his liver. The actor is of 76 years of age and has remained the part and parcel of a number of health drives and initiatives including Polio, Tuberculosis, diabetes and Hepatitis B, and keeps on urging people to have their regular body check up to get the ailment diagnosed on time. He said that he is a survivor of the above-said ailments and pleased to tell the world about them. Talking about his work, he has a few films lined up this year.
