Story Line and Synopsis : Bharya, telecasted on Asianet, is a family drama that replaced the serial Sreedhanam. It tells the story of a family in Vrindhavan. Professor Viswanathan and teacher Jayaprabha have three children Rohini, Rakhi and Nandan. Rohini played by Sonu Satheesh Kumar is a major character. She got married to Sharath who has gone missing since few years. Rohini now stays with her ftaher’s family and has to bear the bad behavior from her family members. Rohini’s brother Nandan falls in love with Nayana, who is bad intentioned lady. Nayana is cunning and schemes to destroy the peace of the family. Nayana’s brother is Narendran who is also evil intentioned. The brother and sister duo keep creating problems in the household.
Sonu Satheesh Kumar in Positive Role: Contrast to her negative role in the previous serial Sreedhanam, Sonu is now playing the role of Rohini who is totally opposite. Rohini is the wronged one while her character in Sreedhanam, Veni, was a grey one but she got very much popular with the show. In fact, she enjoyed more fame than the positive female lead.
Sajan Surya: Another popular face in the show is Sajan Surya. He plays the role of Narendran, Nayana’s brother who is also a negative character. This is also a contrast to his usual image. Sajan Surya has till now palyd ony the nice husband roles.
New Faces: Ronson Vincent plays the role of Nandan in Bharya. He is a fresh face for Malayalam serial audience. Alina playing Nayana is also a new face. Akshara essays the role of Rakhi.
