Ranveer Singh cries at the Award ceremony, Deepika’s sister says, “Who is cutting onions?”
Gully boy Actor Ranveer Singh was recently announced as the winner of the best actor award at Filmfare. The actor received this for his notable performance in the movie ’83.’ He later went online to share a video of his acceptance speech and you can see how he broke down in tears right there on the stage.
He thanked his parents and sister for supporting him all the time in his journey and rushed to the stage to hug his wife, actress Deepika Padukone. He called her “goddess Lakshmi’ and gave credit for his success to her.
While posting the video on his Instagram handle where he can be seen breaking down into tears, he wrote, “POV: You are living a dream.” The actor’s sister-in-law i.e. Deepika’s sister, Anisha Padukone responded saying, “Who’s cutting this, damn ONIONS? ❤️ you.” Actress Neelam Kothari also commented, “YOU ARE THE BEST❤️” Several other celebs and fans of the actor congratulated him on his post for his big win.

The actor, in his acceptance speech, said, “What all happens in my life is all beyond my wildest dreams. Most of the time, it’s hard to believe that I’m here… doing this… Standing in front of y’all I am in disbelief each day that I’m an actor. It’s really a miracle for me. I would like to thank you all for becoming a part of my journey and letting me live my dreams. ”
He further added, “This is all due to my parents and sister. Whatever I am today, they are like God to me. Whatever I do is for God, Whatever I am today is for God. ” His emotions were clearly visible in his speech while he was there accepting the award from filmmaker Karan Johar. His wife, Deepika Padukone, was on the stage too.

The actor mentioned her name and said, “Goddess Lakshmi is there at my home. She is the secret to my success, and I am powered by her. TYSM, ladies and gentlemen. ”
Talking about his work front, the Bollywood hunk was last seen on Netflix’s web show ‘Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wifes S2’. His next releases will be Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus and Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, with actress Alia Bhatt.
Besides his professional commitments, Ranveer made headlines for his nude photoshoot, where his pictures were criticized over the internet. He even landed in legal trouble.
