B Town filmmakers rush to register titles on Article 370 & Article 35A
Just when the Union Government decided to scrap the Articles 370 and 35A from the Jammu and Kashmir state, there seems to be a huge rush of filmmakers for registering the suitable title on it for their upcoming films. Amit Shah was quick to announce the same this Monday when he revoked the said articles of from the state dividing the two into two different union territories. So, we will now see the J & K a separate entity to Ladakh that seems a different Union Territory without legislation.
This seems to be a burning issue that can be leveraged to make a couple of Bollywood movies. It seems that the filmmakers were waiting to catch this opportunity to register titles based on these two articles. As per reports, the associations for registering titles have received more than 25 applications on the same. Some of the titles that have been applied include Kashmir Hamara Hai, Kashmir Mein Tiranga, Dhara 370, and Dhara 35A to name a few.
Some of the production studios have even entered the league as they now want to get permission at the earliest so that they can start their research and thus gain a fair understanding of the required logistics. Some of the films that were made earlier related to political situations in India include Uri: The Surgical Strike along with Article 15. Also, there are films on issues like Pulwama Attacks, and Demonetization, which are lined up to get permission for the required titles. Stay tuned to know more about this and others only with us.
