Ayushmann Khurrana- starrer Dream Girl 2’s release postponed again; ‘Pooja’ will now arrive on THIS new date!
It seems fans have to wait a bit long to meet Ayushmann Khurrana’s Pooja from Dream Girl 2. The film was earlier scheduled to release on 7th July, 2023, however on Monday morning, Ayushmann Khurrana aka Pooja took to his Instagram account to announce that the release date of the film has been postponed to 25th August 2023.
Ayushmann took to his Instagram account to share a new audio note announcing the new release date that reads. “Mere priya Aashiqon, chaar saal baad aapke Dil Ka Telephone phir se ring ring hoga. Ab iske liye taiyaari bhi toh shaandaar, dhamakedaar, aur smoochiebhari honi chahiye na? Toh karo thoda aur intezaar, And keep sending lots of pyaar. Ab #7 Ko Saath Mein nahi, Pooja ki Kiss on August Pachees. Dream Girl 2 releasing in theatres on 25th August, 2023 – Aapki Pyari Pooja.”

As per media reports, the film was delayed, with the main cause supposedly being the heavy VFX work required for the picture. The VFX work for Dream Girl 2 is critical because the film stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the roles of Pooja and Karam.
Dream Girl 2 producers are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to promote the much-anticipated comedy film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday. Ayushmann Khurrana recently released a new Dream Girl 2 teaser.
In the teaser, Ayushmann’s character Pooja gets a call from Salman Khan and he requests that Pooja call him ‘Jaan,’ saying, “Bhai main dusro ke liye, tumhare liye to jaan hun.” When Salman requests her to reveal her face, Pooja asks him for a video call. The light goes out just as Bhaijaan is about to catch a glimpse of Pooja. Later, Pooja requests that Bhaijaan wait till Eid to see her face.
Dream Girl 2 is a sequel to the 2019 box office smash Dream Girl, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Ekta Kapoor. Ayushmann has a lot riding on the success of Dream Girl 2 because his previous three films- Anek, Doctor, and An Action Hero- failed to make an impact at the box office despite garnering positive reviews from critics.
