Salman Khan Firing Case: Mumbai Police Charges Suspects Under MCOCA, Reports Reveal

The developments surrounding the firing incident at Galaxy Apartment have been significant in recent times. Initially, the Mumbai police issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who was accused of being involved in the attack on Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Now, it has been revealed that the authorities have invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in connection with the incident.

Since the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s apartment in Mumbai, multiple investigative teams have been actively pursuing leads. Earlier reports named two suspects, Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, while two alleged arms suppliers, Sonu Subhash Chander and Anuj Thapan, have recently been identified in connection with the case. According to reports from ANI, all of them have been charged under MCOCA. Officers confirmed the developments in the case, stating, “All accused have been booked under Sections 3(1)(2), 3(1)(3), and 3(1)(4) of MCOCA.”

Following Anmol Bishnoi’s purported claim of responsibility for the shooting in a Facebook post, law enforcement authorities issued another Look Out Circular (LOC) against him. Additionally, with substantial evidence gathered, Lawrence Bishnoi has been designated as the primary suspect in the case, despite being imprisoned.

After the arrest of the accused, law enforcement authorities made further breakthroughs in the investigation. They discovered a firearm and live cartridges in the Tapi River in Gujarat, as well as traced footprints of one of the suspects, Vicky, during their attempted escape to Bhuj, Gujarat.

Furthermore, Delhi Crime Branch officials conducted a three-hour long interrogation of Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, with their custody being extended from April 25 to April 29. As per reports from ANI, the Esplanade Court in Mumbai granted Mumbai Crime Branch custody of both arms suppliers until April 30. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
