Ashish Sonkar is a known name when it comes to short films and TV shows. He comes from Mumbai completing his education from DAV and college from the very same city as well. He has always been interested in acting and wanted to work in films and TV shows, so he ensured to join the acting school – Barry John Academy where he was educated. During his college days, he completed his graduation in Mass Media from Mumbai University getting a good exposure of the various forms of mediums like short films and documentary making.
Once he completed his studies, he headed to become an actor and thus his struggle started where he visited many production house offices and TV Channel offices. However, he did not get any break in the field of acting but for his survival he took up modeling assignments doing a couple of ramp shows and ads. He was the showstopper at the Horlicks ramp show and bagged the first runner up at the same fashion event. Since then his modeling career took a swift start and he started getting too many catalogue shoots like the fashion brands like Raymonds and Zara along with other T Shirt brands.
As his career reached its zenith, he got the chance to do a short film called Shushila, which even bagged him a Royal Stag award for the best actor category in 2015. This brought more such ventures in his career and his short films like Don’t Wait Too Long, Beggar Committed Viral Special Time Coc. and RIP Humanity became a big hit. Soon he turned the household name for short films. He has done a wide range of projects in his career and he aspires to do big in his acting career just waiting for the right opportunity coming in his way
