Aryan Khan’s lawyer moves to high court after special court denied bail

Aryan Khan was arrested by NBC on October 2nd in a raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. Today a special Mumbai Court has again rejected the bail application filed by Shah Rukh Khan’s son and two others in connection with the seizure of a banned drugs case.
Special Judge V V Patil, designated to hear cases related to the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, rejected the bail pleas of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.

Senior counsel Amit Desai, Aryan’s lawyer, informed reporters outside the court that they will appeal the ruling to a higher court.
“We have to read the order first…I don’t have the order yet. We will move the Bombay HC once we get the order,” Desai said right after the special court rejected their plea.

Aryan’s lawyers filed a petition in the Bombay high court within an hour, but because the judicial board had already been released, the case is most likely to be heard on Thursday.
According to sources, the NCB acquired conversations between an upcoming actress and Aryan. On October 2, the two were allegedly discussing drugs during a Mumbai cruise party, prompting the NCB to raid the ship. The NCB handed over the chat material to the court during the prior hearing on October 14. The court has also acquired recordings of Aryan’s conversations with drug traffickers from the agency.
