Arya Rohit needs no introduction to the Malayalam Television audience. She is known for her natural comic timing on the show Badhai Bangalow aired on Asianet channel. She was also very popular for her role in the family drama Streedhanam. She played the new age daughter in law Pooja who is a black belt in Karate. Arya is a natural and powerful actress and also a fashionista.

Arya was born in Palkulangara in Thiruvananthpuram district in Kerala. She is the daughter of  Mr. Satheesh Babu, an Accounts Manager in the Fort Hospital, Trivandrum and Mrs. Prema Satheesh Babu. Arya was always a charmer who started her career with modeling in ad films and magazines. She is trained in classical and western dances. Following her modeling career Arya bagged roles in few Malayalam films. Later as she started getting potential roles in serials she gained popularity among the television audience.

Arya is married to Rohit Susheelan who is an IT engineer in Thiruvananthpuram. The couple is blessed with a two and a half year old daughter Roya Rohit. The actress is not the only daughter in law in the family who is in the cine industry. Her sister in laws Archana Susheelan and Kalpana Susheelan are also TV and movie actresses. Archana Susheelan is famous as the negative actress in TV serials.

Arya started her career with Nestle Munch Stars in which she participated as a dancer. This became a threshold of her career. She was the anchor of the show Taste Time on Asianet which is now hosted by Meera Muralidharan. Arya has hosted many other shows on Asianet channel. Arya bagged potential roles in serials like Officer and Tamil show Maharani. Other serials of Arya include Mohakkadal, Kunjiammayum Anju Makkalum, Ardram, Achante Makkal, Chandralekha and Sarayu. Her powerful role in the serial Anchante Makkal is a memorable one.

Her role in Streedhanam as Pooja, the daughter in law who stands by the good members of the family gave her most recognition. She was highly popular as the Karate daughter in law. The show went off air last year. Now Arya plays the funny yet adorable wife of Ramesh Pisharady in popular Comedy show Badai Bungalow. Arya’s comic skills are very much appreciated by the audience. She is one of the few actress who can handle comedy adeptly.

Arya has also in few Malayalam films namely Thoppil Joppan, Pretham, Kunjuramayanam, Oru Second Class Yatra and Laila O Laila.
