Archana Shastry is an actress who is active in South Indian films. She hails from Hyderabad and was born on 8 October 1981 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. She is a model and dancer as well apart from being an actress. She did her schooling and college from Hyderabad completing her graduation in Arts from Hyderabad University. She later headed to theatres and plays and changed her name to Archana. Her debut movie started with South Indian film called Tapana in 2004, which was a Telugu movie. She was then seen in other movies and some of her earlier movies in Telugu include – Nenu, Suryam, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Tanu and Kokila in her initial days.

Since then it was no looking back for her. Besides the Telugu films, she also got several Tamil and Kannada movies, which include Agaram, Yamadonga, Aa Dinagalu, Minchu, Thamizhagam, Karuppampatti, and 6. Some of her recent movies include Prematho Nuvvu Vastavani, Maha Bhakta Siriyala, Panchami, Lion, Mythri, My hero Mythri, Tharuvatha Katha, Agarathi, Mike Testing 143, Poga, and Vajra Kavachadhara Govinda, which she is seen filming at the moment. Talking about her other career in Bollywood she did with The Final Exit.

She was also seen in the small screen participating in the reality TV called Bigg Boss Telugu (season 1), which she was emerging into the finalist aired on Star Maa, and was placed on the fifth position.
