The actress will be seen portraying the character of Jhulan Goswami, an Indian female cricketer in the movie.

Now some time ago, the actress shared a new picture from ‘Chhakda’ Express on her Instagram handle and wrote in the caption, “A moment from a story that needs to be told!” It can be seen in the picture that the actress is recreating Jhulan’s life moment. The film is directed by Prosit Roy and Abhishek Banerjee has written the screenplay. Chakda Xpress is a Netflix movie that describes the sports journey of Jhulan Goswami as the fastest female pacer in cricket history. It will show us how she goes on despite coming across different obstacles and finally fulfills her dream to play cricket. It will display all her struggles from a starter to a success holder. Anushka has already shorted some basic scenes before vacationing in Paris and London with hubby Virat Kohli.
Back in January, the actress shared a teaser of the movie and wrote, “It is a really special film because it is essentially a story of tremendous sacrifice. Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket”.
