Parveena, Aamir Khan’s Lagaan co-star, is in desperate need of money, asks actor for help!

When your health deteriorates, you become desperate for a variety of things, including a work and the ability to pay your bills. Parveena, the actress from Lagaan, is one such lady who is going through the same thing. This actress, who starred alongside Aamir Khan in the Oscar-nominated film from 2001, suffered a stroke last year and has been unable to work. She, on the other hand, is eager to return to work.

She revealed in a recent conversation that she sought Aamir’s guidance and that she is looking for work as a casting director rather than an actor.

Parveena recently told ETimes that she is scared to ask for financial assistance openly. Aamir Khan’s Lagaan co-star stated, “My family has always helped and there are few friends who look out for me, as well. All I want now is some financial help till the time my health is not good. I want work as a casting director and would request production houses to give me work.”

Parveena has benefited from the film business in the past. Last year, Akshay Kumar and CINTAA (Cine and Television Artistes’ Association) stepped up to help her, and this year, Sonu Sood did the same. When asked what she expects from her Lagaan co-star Aamir Khan, she told a portal, “I need to work and plead to him to give me work. Aamir bhai doesn’t know about my illness. If he had known, he would have definitely helped me. As we all know that he has helped his co-stars from ‘Lagaan’ including Sri Vallabh Vyas. All I want to tell him is, mujhe apne office mein kaam de do (give me some work in your office please).”
