Anurag Kashyap undergo angioplasty in a hospital in Mumbai

Filmmakers Anurag Kashyap is famous for his cult films including Gangs of Wasseypur series, Black Friday and many more. He is also known for his fearless statements and taking stands on social and political issues. The filmmaker experienced some health-related issues earlier this week, for which he was shifted to a hospital in Mumbai where he underwent angioplasty.

Kashyap’s spokesperson confirmed the news to Indian Express, “Yes, he underwent an angioplasty. He is now recuperating. Thank you for your concern.”

According to the reports, Kashyap was seeking medical attention after he suffered mild chest pain earlier last week. Health experts have advised him to rest for a couple of weeks before getting back to work.

Anurag was busy working from home on the post-production of his film Dobaaraa. The film starring Taapsee Pannu wrapped up in March. It is the third collaboration of the actress with the director after “Manmarziyaan” and biographical drama “Saand Ki Aankh”, which had Anurag Kashyap on board as producer.

Earlier while talking about the film the director said, “Dobaaraa” (’2:12’). “Our vision with ‘Dobaaraa’ is to bring a fresh, new story to the audience and I am very excited for it. This will be my third collaboration with Taapsee and this time the attempt is to bring an interesting new take on thrillers.”
